Reporting a bug
Reporting a bug
Found something wrong? The Report a bug link in the footer (shown when you are signed in) opens a short form: a title and what happened. The page you were on and your browser are attached automatically, so there is no need to describe them.
What helps most:
- what you did, step by step, and what you expected instead
- the song or project it happened on (the page address is already included)
- whether it happens every time
Reports go straight to the people who run Stem Shovel. Tick the box at the bottom of the form if we may email you for more detail.
Requesting a feature
Have an idea? Feature Requests in the footer opens the page that lists what members have asked for, what we said, and what has shipped. Anyone can read the page; members give the ones they want a thumbs up (or down), the favorites rise to the top, and a second press on your own thumbs takes it back. A new request shows to everyone once we have read and approved it; until then only you and the admins see it, marked awaiting review. Request a feature there opens the same kind of form as a bug report: a title and a description. Say what you are trying to do and how the feature would help; an example from your own work is the most useful thing you can give. Tick the box to be emailed about it, so we can learn more and tell you when it ships.
