Copyright and acceptable use
Stem Shovel is for working on music you have the right to work on. By creating an account you agree to the following.
Your material
- You may only upload, store, or share material — audio, MIDI, lyrics, charts, artwork, anything — that you own the copyright to, or that you have the copyright holder's permission to use in this way.
- Uploading or sharing material without that right is a violation of this agreement. We may remove the material and may suspend or close the account responsible.
- You keep every right to what you upload. We store and process it only to run the service for you and the people you share it with.
Everyone else's material
If you believe material on Stem Shovel infringes a copyright you hold, email inquiries@lightningjar.com with the address of the page, a description of the work, and how we can reach you. We will look into it promptly and remove infringing material.
Acceptable use
Stem Shovel is for music. Do not upload, write, or share, anywhere on the service, including lyrics, notes, comments, artwork and recordings:
- hate speech, or anything that attacks people for who they are
- pornography or sexual content involving minors in any form
- graphic descriptions or depictions of violence, or threats against anyone
- material that promotes or is part of illegal activity
- harassment of other users, or anything meant to interfere with the service or other people's accounts
We may remove material that crosses these lines and may suspend or close the account responsible. Songs can deal with hard subjects; the line is content whose purpose is to demean, sexualise minors, glorify violence, or break the law.
Changes
We will update this page as the service grows. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
